Description:
Simply put, thermoelectric modules are electrically powered, solid state heat pumps. When DC voltage is applied, one side becomes increasingly hot while the temperature of the other side decreases dramatically in proportion to the temperature of the hot side. As a result, the cooler you keep the hot side, the cooler the cold side becomes. TEC modules (also referred to as Peltier modules) aren't particularly efficient devices; however, they are one of the best solutions for sub-ambient cooling available for those not requiring more expensive solutions such as direct vapor phase-change cooling. This water block, by Danger Den, is designed for use with high-powered TEC modules for maximum system performance!
