Description:

Recently, many enthusiasts have been looking into using different types of tubing to help them prevent the growth of algae and bacteria in their cooling systems.  However, this usually results in the use of various kinds of opaque black tubing to shield coolant from exposure to light (thus, staving off the growth of photosynthesizing nasties).  Now there's an alternative: Tygon Silver Antimicrobial Tubing!  Specifically designed for microbe control, its plasticizer-free inner bore is impregnated with a zirconium phosphate-based ceramic ion exchange resin containing silver.  Despite being somewhat stiffer than Tygon R-3603, this tubing still manages a minimum working bend radius that's the same as 7/16" ID R-3603 (as well as Masterkleer) and only 1/4" larger than that of 1/2" ID R-3603!  Additionally, Tygon Silver reduces the formation of biofilm & mildew, will not discolor, and has a very low rate of water absorption.
